Velin (“the App”) is provided by ilker Karamanli (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we (and our vendors) collect and why.
What we collect
App analytics (Firebase Analytics): event counts (e.g., opens, category taps, downloads), device/OS info, coarse location (country/region). We do not collect names, emails, or account data.
Crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics): crash logs and device/OS details to fix stability issues.
Ads (non‑personalized) (Google AdMob / UMP): ad requests, impressions, and clicks. We do not access the advertising identifier (IDFA) and we do not use tracking for ad personalization.
Remote Config (Firebase): feature flags (e.g., ad frequency, daily hero toggle). No personal data is stored by us in Remote Config.
Content sources: daily pick metadata (author name, photo credit) from Unsplash, including required attribution.
Support: if you email us, we receive the info you send (email address, message, attachments).
How we use data
Measure usage to improve the App and content.
Show non‑personalized ads in compliance with local consent rules.
Diagnose crashes and performance problems.
Comply with platform policies and attributions (e.g., Unsplash credit).
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
We rely on legitimate interests for essential analytics and diagnostics. Where applicable, we use consent for ad‑related choices even when ads are non‑personalized.
Your choices
Consent & ads: you can adjust consent in the app or via iOS Settings. We do not use IDFA or tracking.
Delete data: uninstalling the App stops further collection. For support emails or any records reasonably linked to you, contact us at appfeedbackbox+velin@gmail.com.
Sharing
We share data with service providers strictly to run the App: Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config), Google AdMob/UMP, and Unsplash for daily images. We don’t sell personal information.
Children
Velin is not directed to children under 4. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us.
International transfers
Vendors may process data in multiple countries. We rely on standard protections provided by those vendors where applicable.
Changes
We’ll update this page for material changes and refresh the effective date.
